Birds of Wales will be playing with NYC band, Tamarama - know for having the singer from the MTV show, The City, this Tuesday in Toronto. Birds of Wales are also playing the Peace Dot Love Festival in Toronto on June 18th at the Kool Haus with Dragonette, USS and others.

Excited!??!?!?!

We just wanted to tell you a couple exciting tidbits of knowledge. Firstly, we are excited to announce that our new album will be released in July sometime. Stay tuned and stay posted for info!

Secondly, we wanted to announce a couple upcoming shows. We are playing with Tamamara at the beautiful Berkeley Church in Toronto on June 2nd. On June 18th, Birds of Wales will be playing the Kool Haus for a Festival featuring Dragonette, USS and others. Check out our Myspace for ticket info.

Other than that - rehearsals galore and enjoying Toronto’s Spring!

Thursday was busy for us. We did a secret Myspace show at a really nice theatre in Toronto called the Great Hall during the afternoon/evening. The amazingly intelligent and interesting, Alan Cross, did a interview with us, followed by a set, followed by the very talented, Metric, playing a set. It was a lot of fun!

From there we went to Tattoo Rock Parlour and played a benefit show for STAND, a Darfur Awareness Org. We had a lot of fun, and it was really great seeing everyone out to the show!

Birds of Wales will be playing a show this Thursday April 2nd at Tattoo Rock Parlour in Toronto, a benefit for Darfur Awareness org, STAND( http://www.standcanada.org/ ). 

In addition, Morgan will be playing a solo acoustic show as part of a private Myspace show during the evening of the 2nd. Stay posted for photos and juicy gossip!

Hello! I’m writing to you from our hotel in Austin, Texas right now. It’s hot. Red hot. Hot enough to cook on. We finished our showcase a couple days ago, and apart from that have seen 100’s of bands, well dressed women and far too many vodka red bulls.

Thanks to our friends Mishka and company for coming out to our show and dancing up a storm, as well as the beautiful rest of you! SXSW was as amazing as last year, and now we’re off back to Toronto for a stint.

We hope to see you out at Tattoo Rock Parlour on April 2nd for a fundraiser we are playing, supporting a great organization called STAND - a Darfur awareness org.
