A exciting blog posting for us today! We just want to officially let everyone out there know that the new record will be this early Spring on Sparks/EMI. We’re really excited about the partnership and hope you’re excited as well!

We shot the photos for the album yesterday here in Toronto. The lovely and talented, Talia Shipman photographed the shoot, and expect to see the final works on both the album cover of the disc, as well as our posters and other goodies in the upcoming little while.

On June 18th Birds of Wales are playing the 102.1 The Edge PEACE DOT LOVE Festival in Toronto.  It’s at the Kool Haus and will be a lot of fun.  USS, Dragonette and We are the Take are also playing, so it’s going to be a great time!  This show is ALSO All Ages, so come one, come all!
We will be playing in Peterborough July 21st with our good friends, Mishka.  We will release the location soon.  Will be great to hang with the guys again!
The Album!  A lot of you have been asking about the exact day.  Rest assured and be patient.  Late July.  Thats all I’m allowed to say for now.  Excited?  I know we sure are!  It’s been farrrrr too long, and we hope you like it as much as we do!
Soooo Greek Salads?  Yup — pretty much the best salad ever.  Had one along with Ben S yesterday at a great Portuguese bakery by our rehearsal space yesterday.  Cant wait to go back!!
Soooooo will we be seeing you this upcoming Tuesday?!?!?!??!  :)

We are going to be releasing our new album in July. It’s been a long time coming, and we want to thank everyone for their patience! It’s going to feel great when we finally hit the road support this disc! Expect to see us all over the place starting some time in July.We have a few shows coming up in Toronto in June as well.  Not sure if we’re playing NXNE yet — but we often do, so look out for that as well! Ben S is heading to Nyc in June for a couple weeks as well, so we’ll have a drummerless couple weeks of rehearsals, but with warm weather I’m sure we can find things to keep us occupied!Soccer season is starting for me shortly.  I play in the First Div Mens League in Toronto, and as always really enjoy it. We all need to have different things going on in our lives to keep everything balanced.  For me, I always need something athletic to keep me feeling healthy and well about life.

We did a secret Myspace show at a really nice theatre in Toronto called the Great Hall during the afternoon/evening. The amazingly intelligent and interesting, Alan Cross, did a interview with us, followed by a set, followed by the very talented, Metric, playing a set. It was a lot of fun!From there we went to Tattoo Rock Parlour and played a benefit show for STAND, a Darfur Awareness Org.
